Birthday present ideas - 7 yr old girl

My niece is turning 7 next weekend.  She's not "into" much, so my SIL has requested outdoor toys.  They have a swingset, she has a hula hoop.  No flat spaces (they live on a farm, nothing is paved), so chalk doesn't really work.  We got them (3 year old little brother) a 3 lane water slide for Easter.  Budget is $30.   TIA for any ideas!

    You can't go wrong with bubble stuff.  Maybe you can find some bubble toys at Target?  I'd add some books to get to the $30 price point.

    Um no! Not for a 7 year old! Target has a great selection of outdoor games, that would be an option. Bubble stuff seams way babyish for a 7 year old.

    I have a DD who turned 7 in March.  Her grandmother just brought her crayola pink bubbles and she spent half an hour with them outside today.  She also loves the kits with different kinds of blowers.

    So for an outdoor toy, I think bubbles are a great choice.

    My 6.5yo got one of those "Klutz" books with the huge bubble wand with the loop to make crazy huge bubbles.  I ordered it from Amazon but have seen it at Barnes and Noble too.  We haven't used it yet but she's really excited about it.  There's also a recipe for the "best" bubble solution, you could get her the ingredients for that as well.

      My 6.5 and 5 yo's both love bubble guns as well.
