Is it just me, or is the 1st Trimester board way more...snarky than this board? I realize people ask dumb questions, but it feels like I'm watching Mean Girls on there sometimes.

 

Just thought I'd say this board > 1st Tri board. Maybe it's just because we all have at least a birth month in common that we're a little more forgiving.

I remember how much people would talk about how scary/mean the bump was when I talked on the nest. This is the only board, besides my local one, that I've been talking on and I feel like it is very welcoming and loving. woo-hoo!

1st Tri is a zoo. Waste of my time honestly! This board has been pretty good.. not too much mud and most people are just a little snarky if snarky at all!

The national boards due tend to be bit more snarky than your local boards or the BMBs. Some may say they are just being honest, but they can be rude sometimes.

I've always been afraid of the tri boards! I like the BMB better. I just think we become closer with eachother so we respect eachother more.

I didn't like it over there either, but I think the ladies here are very nice. Plus, I realized very quickly that trying to follow too many boards is just overwhelming. The girls here are the same as or closest to my stage, so this is what I picked. Glad I did!

I will poke around my local board, but I live outside the city so I don't think that will do much for me either. I could also post on Blended Families, but that board looks like a train wreck, and I already have a stepmom group with all the support I need in that department.

For sure!  I hated the first tri board when I was on the bump with my first.  It seems to have even gotten meaner since then!  BMBs didn't exist here back then.  I'm happy to have a place to hang out with nice people!

I must say I love this board too. We all seem to be on the same page and we have a fantastic mix of 1st 2nd 3rd and 4th time moms to talk to. Not to mention a few multiplies .

I love you all too! Everyone is so supportive and open' I'm excited to see what the next several months bring! It's just beginning!

I agree, and I found that to be true last time too - I hung more with my birth-month board, and will this time too.

Totally!  After a week of lurking, I decided to avoid the 1st Tri board like it's the plague!  It's just vicious.  I understand that people are allowed to express their opinions, but I think it should be done in a civilized way.  Many of the posts I've read are people being bullies.
