Crazy, but it hit me yesterday: orange juice. So sweet, so juicy, so refreshing (so many calories!!). I could tape a commercial for it. LOL.

Anyone have any upcoming appointments, tests or T&P requests? I just had yet another u/s today and everything is looking good! My doctor is now going to have me come in every two weeks, so my next appointment isn't until May 18.

Milestones or new symptoms: Seeing the heartbeat for the first time last week was a major milestone, and now getting past sweet pea status is another major milestone. This is now the most pregnant I've ever been.

1.  Have you seen a heartbeat (or more than one) yet? We saw the heartbeat for the first time last Thursday. I got to see it again today and the doctor is feeling very optimistic about this pregnancy!

2. What?s your favorite city (or town, village, etc.)? Lake Beuna Vista, Florida...known for Disney World of course.

3. Have you had any cravings yet? If yes, what are you craving? I just had to have cheese and mayonaisse on a bagel. DH was sweet enough to stock up on bagels and cheese for me and I've been having one everyday for the past couple of days.

 2. What?s your favorite city (or town, village, etc.)?  Ithaca, NY  I've only been there a couple of times, but it's beautiful!  They also have this incredible farmer's market and yummy restaurants!

 3. Have you had any cravings yet? If yes, what are you craving?  A couple of weeks ago I was craving rotisserie chicken, which is crazy because I've been a vegetarian for 15 years.  I ended up giving in and ate chicken on two different occasions.

My appointment was last Friday and the HB was 167 beats per minute. Baby was moving around and was in the right spot. My U/S tech was awesome and the doctor just did a quick exam.

Anyone have any upcoming appointments, tests or T&P requests?

My next appointment is May 25th. I will start telling family around June 2.

 

Milestones or new symptoms: Achy today. All my joints ache, especially my hips and around my tail bone. Considering I have a rotated hip, I am not surprised.

 

Question(s) of the Day:

1.      Have you seen a heartbeat (or more than one) yet? Yes we have seen the heart beat. It was a wonderful 167 BPM. Have not heard it yet, but will May 25th at my next appointment.

 

2. What?s your favorite city (or town, village, etc.)? I love Fort Wayne where we live. It is a very family friendly city.

 

3. Have you had any cravings yet? If yes, what are you craving? Several cravings. First craving was Mexican food. Later I craved weird stuff like pineapple dipped in BBQ sauce. Right now I am craving a chocolate dipped ice cream cone and a Gyro. LOL. Love Greek food lately. Tonight I promised to make Navajo Fry Bread. Made it for my husband for the first time at the beginning of this pregnancy and both of us can not get enough since.

@Never, a nurse at my doctor's office swears craving orange juice means you'll have a girl. SWEARS by it.

We have our next ultrasound May 10th and I'm starting to get very nervous about it for some reason. It's right around the point our missed m/c was discovered last time.

No new symptoms. Still exhausted, boobs hurt and throwing up all the time. Blah.

 Yep! We saw it at 5w6d and again at 7 weeks exactly. At 7 weeks it was 148 bpm.

2. What?s your favorite city (or town, village, etc.)? I love Boston. So much to do, so much fun. I also really adore San Francisco.

 

3. Have you had any cravings yet? If yes, what are you craving?

All I want is steak and potatoes. H and I have joked I'm going to give birth to that cartoon baby with the 5 o'clock shadow, smoking a cigar.

My appointment is on Monday, so FX for a good one.  I'm so so so scared, and I don't feel confident at all about it.

 I have not seen anything yet except for my betas.  I'm actually a little upset with my doctor and my nurse over it.  They don't seem too interested in easing my worries at all.

 I really love Maui.  I know, it's Hawaii and it's hard to not love it.  I went to Honolulu as well, but I love the feel and the vibe of Maui.  I would LOVE to live in Hawaii for a while.

Eye to eye with the cold craving.  Slurpees, smoothies, slushes, and sno cones... I love them.

Haha, this is one thing I'm worried about. I've heard of so many vegetarian pregnant women craving meat. I've been a vegetarian since I was 10 and I really hope I don't get that craving - since I'm sure I'll have a hard time giving in to any cravings I have!

New symptom:  I had a bit of nausea yesterday.  It only lasted about 30 minutes but that was long enough. 

Questions of the Day:

1.  We saw the Heartbeat at 6w5d... it was 121 beats and so beautiful!

2.  My favorite city is Chicago... Although I was in San Fran for a conference and loved it.  I want to go back with DH and explore it more!

3.  No big cravings... although I have wanted a bagel, egg and cheese sandwich for the last week.  I haven't had one yet:(

Yes, DH and I saw LO's heartbeat last Wednesday at 6 weeks (I thought I was 7w3d, but turns out I was wrong about when I O'd, so now my EDD is 12/19) 2. At the beginning I had a ton of different cravings (pickles, ice cream, yogurt, etc), but now I just haven't wanted anything (except popsicles) and have to force myself to eat things with real nutrients.

My NT scan isn't for another 3.5 weeks... I'm so anxious!

Symptoms are about the same... fatigue, varying intensities of nausea, smell and food aversions, peeing a lot.

We did see the heartbeat at 7w!  It was amazing.  It feels sooo long ago now, though, and I'm trying not to get nervous about something going wrong in the long 5.5 weeks between appts...

I grew up outside of Boston, and will always have a very soft spot in my heart for it...

Not really cravings, per se.  A LOT of aversions though.  If anything, I'd say I'm craving citrus-y drinks.

We saw a heartbeat on Monday, I AM SO HAPPY!!!

I have to see a high risk doctor on the 14th since I am on steroids for my crohn's but they are going to do another ultrasound so I don't mind at all! I also scheduled my NT scan for June 4th. 

Nausea and food aversions are still in full swing and I'm very happy for it. I had told my SIL back when I was 5 weeks. She had a m/c 2 years ago and I told her when I was miscarrying last time, so I wanted her to know this time also. I then outed myself to my brother but that's ok, he was so happy he started to cry! He has 4 kids and is the best dad, he's so happy to be an uncle!

I do love Chicago, living here for almost 8 years, I always find new things to do. My second favorite city is Door County in WI, it is beautiful in the summer & fall. 

I am craving everything someone posts on here! Someone talked about mac n cheese this morning, I ate a whole box for lunch

Hi this is my first check-in. This is my 4th pregnancy and 3rd in the last 12 months. I had two natural m/c one in June'11 and Jan'12. This is our surprise baby. We weren't going to TTCAL till next month but here we are and couldn't be happier! I have my first u/s appt tomorrow and am on pins and needles. My EDD is Dec 28. I am taking progesterone and my Betas seem to be increasing ok and I am feeling more and more pregnant/nauseous every day which feels awesome!

My appointment went really well! The baby's growth is right on track and my due date was moved up to 12/6 (5 days from what I thought it should be). We saw the heart beat and it was measured to be 172 bpm!!! I'm so happy. We go back in two weeks for our third u/s. It's so nice to be able to go every two weeks to keep my mind at ease.  Question(s) of the Day:1.      Have you seen a heartbeat (or more than one) yet? Yes, twice. The first time was at 6wks 3 days and it was 129...then again at 8wks 6 days and it's 172.  2. What?s your favorite city (or town, village, etc.)? I love San Francisco. I think it's such a neat city. This next U/S I feel like is really going to help I just have to make it to that point. I think then I'll be a tiny bit less worried! FX for 2 healthy HBs! Newer sympton is that I have crazy horrible m/s..blah

I'm kinda in limbo right now. From weeks 4-6, I had quite a bit of spotting with clots. I thought for sure it was the end. My betas came back fine though. I'm still too scared to get my hopes up, but Sunday morning sickness started. Here's hoping this is a sticky baby!

2. What?s your favorite city (or town, village, etc.)? Definitely Minneapolis/St. Paul! (I know, I know - that's two cities, but I love them both for different reasons so I'm lumping them together.) DH and I met in the Twin Cities while in grad school at the U of M, so we have many wonderful memories there. We try to visit at least once a year.

 

3. Have you had any cravings yet? If yes, what are you craving? Two major cravings: 1.) Pastries for breakfast. It's all I can think about when I wake up, but somehow I've managed to only indulge once. 2.) These amazing sub sandwiches from a local place. I had one on Monday night and all I want to do is go back every night for another!

I saw the heartbeat at 6w6d on 4/20 and it was 132bpm. I can't wait to actually hear it an hopefully we do on 5/18 at our next appointment.

 Pretty much any city that is bigger than the one I live in. Des Moines, Minneapolis, Chicago. I love the large selection of restaurants.

Bagels with cream cheese sound good to me all the time. I also want pasta for dinner every night. If only DH would agree. We may need to do separate dinners soon since my food aversions are so strong.

We saw the h/b at 6w4d and it was 128bpm.  Such a good feeling

Live in Charleston, SC, which is a pretty awesome town.

Lots of aversions, but also seem to be craving mexican food.

My betas were awesome, on 3/24 it was 1,002 and on 3/26 it was 2,082.  When the nurse called, she asked if I could come in for an u/s.  At 5w6d we got to see the most beautiful flicker of the heartbeat! 

My favorite city would have to be Negril, Jamaica.  It's were we had our honeymoon and loved every minute of it.

Hi all! As always, I'm super late on this (stupid time zones) but I really love this check-in. So sorry to getitdone, thinking of you.

Well, I posted an update on Wednesday but I had another scan, measured 6 days behind (although no one seemed bothered) and found TWO heartbeats. I am beyond excited about this (although, as all of y'all understand, trying not to get TOO excited just yet, it's a long road!). But it's fun to think about...

1. Yup! Two heartbeats and my nurses seemed really positive about it. One more scan in 2 week's time and then I graduate from the Early Pregnancy Unit. Going by my dates, I reach my loss milestone today but I'm not feeling confident until the next scan.

2. Oh wow, hard question. I get to do a lot of travel in Europe right now and really loved Lisbon, Portugal recently, we go back for a wedding in a few weeks so I'm thinking about it again.

3. Not sure if cravings is the right word. I have a million food aversions so I'm eating a lot of the few things I still can. Although I saw someone eating cream cheese earlier today and can't stop thinking about it. Off to the store in a little bit...

 Many T&P to getitdone and her lo... I'm so sorry. As for me, my appointment was cancelled.  Since I had my final f/u last week (from my ER visit) and they bumped my due date back to Christmas Eve, my official first visit was rescheduled to May 30.  I'm driving myself crazy with worry...this can't be good for the baby.  I don't know how to relax and just enjoy this experience!  Question(s) of the Day:1.      Have you seen a heartbeat (or more than one) yet?  We saw a heartbeat at 6w1d.  It was 138 bpm which the dr. said is perfect.  It was the most amazing sound I've ever heard.  We didn't get to hear one last time, since my first visit was the one we discovered the missed m/c.  2.
