Doing some fun online shopping today Anyone have this or have heard good/bad about it? We don't necessarily want to go with a video monitor, but want something better than the crap we had last time. We had that plain Sony monitor. I actually want to run it over with my car, I hate that thing so much. We need a large range. When we are in the yard, we will need it to reach pretty far. If not this, can anyone suggest a good monitor with a large range? TIA!

LOVE ours. We are still using it at 2 years old, even the motion part. My son has food allergies and it helps me sleep better at night - just in case he was to have some weird reaction after dinner (he goes to bed right after dinner). Anyway, we haven't had any trouble with ours at all. The range seems great to us - we never stray far from the house of course but we can hear him fine if we're in the yard w/ the receivers. I like how you can use it w/ or without the motion sensors. The only complaint that I have is that the backlight stays on all the time - at night this makes the numbers really bright. I just stick a tshirt or something over the monitor at night, then I can still hear him but the light doesn't keep me up. We're buying a second unit now that we're expecting #2!
we used it in combo w/ our infant slim video monitor. we liked it. we still use it for the temperature read out feature since ds is on a diff floor than us.
This monitor allowed me to sleep at night. Worth every single penny.
Same. We'll definitely be using ours again.
We will be using ours again too. I went into labor a week early and hadn't bought it before going into the hospital. I made H take me on our way home from the hospital and 3 days after my c/s I was standing on line buying it! Love it! A few false alarms, especially as she got older b/c she would roll clear to the other side of her crib.

I love this monitor for the motion sensor, but I don't think it has really long range.
