I was bitten by a brown recluse several years ago, AND YOU KNOW IT HAS BITTEN YOU. The bite is extremely painful immediately. There's no "maybe it bit me, maybe it didn't". If I had bitten you, you would definitely been aware of it.
A brown recluse bite is dangerous, pregnant or not. Like pp said, you would know if you were bitten. That's pretty scary to have one of those in your house!

There is another spider that looks just like/very similar to a brown recluse. Couldn't tell you if they're native to Oklahoma, though!
I haven't been bit, but my Grandmother has (twice), she just wasn't pregnant! However, she could see the bite and it only took about 24 hrs for it to get really bad (she never goes to the doctor!). She knew she had been bitten because she felt the bite. When she finally did go see someone, they gave her a cream and it healed up nicely. You can see where the venom travels, so if you were bit I think it would take awhile before it reached the baby.
Anyway - long story short - I think if you'd been bit you would have felt the bite. I'd just keep checking your legs - just in case - but I don't think you have anything to worry about.
I'd also be spraying my house for spiders! Well - H would be spraying while I was out of the house on a shopping trip since I'm not supposed to be around strong chemicals!
Oh my sweet goodness I would have freaked the eff out! I am SO terrified of spiders. I was bit by a spider (not sure what kind) early last year and it got SO infected, my whole hip was purple, swollen, pus filled down to my groin area, it was SO nasty. I ended up on i.v. antibiotics.

I'm pretty sure we had a black widow crawl out of the laundry as I was tossing it into the washer the other day! It's the second time I've seen one since we moved into this house. We also get scorpions fairly often, but I think it's just because new houses are going up around us and it's stirring up the ground.
BTW, I LOLed when reading the part about your puppies loving lotion. Mine does too! I always scream at him to get away when I'm putting on lotion and he looks at me so innocently while moving closer to lick my legs. HA!
