I'm sure we've already covered this topic, so forgive me, but DH and I are doing an elective u/s next Tuesday to find out the gender. My mother and grandmother do not live close, but I'd like to give them something for mother's day relating to this. Obviously, it will have to be able to go through the mail or e-mail, and I would prefer something I can buy in stores since it won't be shipped before Wednesday and will need to be there by Saturday to make it in time for mother's day. Any ideas?
How about sending a blue or pink bouquet of flowers/balloons...you could add a note that says it's from you and "future grandson" or "future granddaughter". Or you could send a digital pic of you and your DH holding a sign that says "It's a Girl/Boy!" I'm sure if you google gender reveal ideas, there are a ton, much more creative than myself!
My DH sent his mom an email that had an entirely blue background. We had thought she'd get it and scroll to the bottom where he said it's a boy, but she just thought it was a picture that didn't come through, lol! So, I guess I would avoid that route, haha. I had thought about sending blue or pink flowers to my parents for whichever way, but I had too much of an urge to call them right away and couldn't wait.
Re: Ideas on gender reveal via mail or e-mail
I hadn't seen these before you mentioned them. They are so cute! I'm going to see if I can find the materials to do something like this. Thanks!
We plan to make scratch off tickets to send to our close but out of state family. I'm excited!
Currently going through our second deployment. Can't wait for Zoe to meet her daddy!

Scratch off tickets are a cute idea!
