TTC after 35

HSG vs Clomid cramping?

I am still having abdominal pain/cramping/tightness and it's almost 24 hours since my HSG. These kicked in around 3 hours after my HSG and weren't touched by the Motrin. Barely touched by the heat pad, they're a little better today, but I'm still glad that I'm not working tonight.

Does anyone get cramping from Clomid? Or have cramping this far after an HSG? I'm not sure who to call to ask if this is normal-- the OB or the radiologist! LOL

Re: HSG vs Clomid cramping?

  • I personally didn't have any cramps with Clomid or the HSG (except of course during the damn procedure) OUCH!  After the procedure I felt fine and never cramped.  I even went for a run that same day afterwards.  I think I would call.  Hope you are doing ok.

  • I called radiology and they said it's not from the HSG-- nothing they did would cause the issues I'm having. The supervisor even went and talked to the radiologist about it.

I'm going to hope it's the Clomid and it's a sign that that my follicles are in overdrive.

  • I hope they are.  Best of luck to you.

  • I wouldn't have called it cramping, but I got strong achiness, presumably in my ovaries, from clomid - both sides even though follicles were only growing on one side.
