So, I have my BIL and future SIL's engagement party on Friday. I purchased a dress about 3 weeks ago that fit nicely. The dress hugs all the curves. Even before BFP I was always alittle more round in the stomach and hip area but I have been super bloated the past few weeks that my stomach is really protruding. I have a Dr. Reyes body shaper, it almost looks like a bathing suit with shorts. I have worn it before I was pg and was thinking of wearing it on Friday because the dress is now tighter around my stomach. The shaper has no boning (like a corset) and it fits snug, like a bathing suit. I called my Dr and I am waiting for his call to see if he thinks its ok to wear for a few hours, but what are your opinions?
BFP #1 - 10/10/11, 1st U/S 12/5/11 @ 8w, BO discovered, d&c 12/9/11. HCG @ 0 - 1/4/11.

    It never occurred to me that this could be a problem. I would think it should be fine, but I'm curious to see what everyone else says. I'm a bridesmaid in a wedding in 3 weeks, and if I can't wear my spanx then I'm in trouble! haha

    It may not be comfortable.  I tried to wear my shaper with a dress the other day and felt like I was being choked at the waist.

    Yes, what I have is like spanx! I didn't think it would be an issue but I am narotic and I googled and read all sorts of mixed opinions. But a lot of what I read is about women wearing them everyday, I would be wearing mine for about 4 hours. So, in my mind I do not think it would be an issue but I wanted other opinions. I will update when the Dr calls too!

    I appreciate that! I'm a little narotic too, but I'm trying my best to stay away from google! haha

    I would just think you'd be terribly uncomfortable.  There are lots of pregnancy shapers that squeeze and lift so I wouldn't think it would be dangerous?...
