Success after IF

Major nursery progress AND carpets being cleaned right now..

Slowly but surely - my to do list is shrinking!  The crib is put together (no mattress yet but we'll pick it up this weekend) - dresser is in place - changing table is set up with diapers galore - baby clothes, blankets, wash cloths and towels are all washed and put away - yeah!  I will post a pic of the nursery soon - I am very happy with how it's coming together.

I'm having our area rugs, sofas and the tiny bit of w2w carpeting we have professionally cleaned right now ... housekeeper is coming next week to do a thorough, pre-baby (hopefully) cleaning ... dogs got groomed this past weekend ... got car inspected last week...

I still have to pack a bag, get carseat inspected, get furnace cleaned and checked, and buy the remaining stuff that we really "need" (as opposed to just "want") off our registry - waiting to do that until this weekend coming up because work is throwing me a little shower on Friday, and hopefully I'll get my completion coupon this week too because I haven't yet..

I think we're gonna make it though!  If this baby can just stay put for at least 2 more weeks and I think he will.

I always wait 'til the last minute with stuff and then kick into overdrive - I need a firm deadline to get me moving (but I never miss a deadline either! :-)

Wheee!

  • lol you sound like me.  I have been obsessed with cleaning lately. I just want everything as clean as possible when I bring him home.  Even though I have 2 big labs so that's basically impossible but I'm trying!!

  • What a great feeling!  We finished painting in the baby's room this weekend (by far the longest, most laborious part), and I feel like a new woman!  It's so great when things start to fall into place.
