Update: I take my last BCP tomorrow and go in on Wednesday for baseline. I have had pretty heavy break through bleeding this entire time and I feel like my actual period is starting any day now. I really hope my baseline goes well, I am a little nervous this time around.

QOTW: I speak one and a half. I speak English with the little bit of Spanish I remember from high school. Honestly, you would think I would speak it fluently with my mom's side of the family who speak Spanish primarily.

13 embryos! Hopefully they are all doing well. I will find out on 5/2 before I have my 5dt. My beta is on 5/11.

QOTW: I only know English fluently. I took Spanish in high school and ASL in college, but I'm barely conversational in either.

Had my 2nd monitoring appt today (day 4 of stims).  Things are looking good so far.  Only bad thing is that my left ovary seems to be hiding, so they aren't able to get a good look at it to see how many follicles it has.  RE is hoping it'll become more visible as the follies/ovary gets bigger.  Right had 12 follies, majority between 5-8mm, so that's reassuring.  Hoping the left has something similar.

QOTW:  I used to be fluent in Spanish, but after 16 yrs of not using it, I can only pick up a few words here and there.

I'm on IVF #2 and stimming with Follistim/Menopur/Lupron. At my doctor's appointment today we saw 13 follies and I have a follow up appointment on Friday. My doctor believes we will have our ER on Monday (5/7).

QOTW: I used to speak German pretty well however it's been quite a while so I would like to re-learn German and also learn Spanish.

Update: cd6 of trying on our own this cycle.  Feeling sad, but trying to remain hopeful that IVF 5 will work because it just has to work.  Often wondering how we got here.  On my local private board there were 2 pregnancy announcements today and I'm happy for them... Then someone else titled a post that made it seem like they were announcing a BFP, but they werent.  Everyone thought it was funny... But not me.   

Qotw: I took 4 years of Spanish in HS, but only remember a small amount of it.  I wish I remembered it better.

I speak English and understand some French (high school) and Italian (college), but am by no means fluent. I am better with Spanish, thanks to living in Texas, although I never took it in school.

I wish I was fluent in all of these. I love languages but am not a very verbal person so it makes learning languages more difficult.

I'd like to be added! Gearing up for 1st IVF. I am currently on Lupron, last day of BCP was today and my baseline is on thursday. Very nervous/excited/scared/anxious! Hahaha.

I speak 2 fluently, Spanish and English. I would like to be fluent is french and russian because I know a little of both and can sort of understand when I read them.

I will not be cycling any time soon.  I'd love to hear that we are only pushed back two weeks, but more than likely FET #2 will be in August now

Qotw: other than English I can speak a little Greek and a little French.  I really wish I spoke Greek fluently so that I could speak more with my pappou (Greek for grandfather)

I had my ER on Friday.  We got 25 eggs, 20 of which were mature.  16 of them fertilized!  So praying for the Sweet 16!  5dt tomorrow.  God, I hope this works!

Update -- I am sad that I don't think I belong in this check-in any more.  My RE wants us to try one cycle of TI, then 2-4 IUIs.  I will probably still lurk in this check in because I have learned so much from you lovelies.

 

QOTW -- I only speak English.  I took French in high school and loved learning it.  There really isn't much use for French around these parts though (said in my best country accent).  Spanish would be more beneficial.  I, however, have no desire to learn Spanish.

Currently I can speak English and I do pretty well using American Sign Language.  I took 32 weeks of this last year in college!

Update: BFP on 6dp5dt. Beta 1 was 82.5, beta 2 was 352. U/S next monday to make sure baby is in Ute!

Which ones would you like to be able to speak? I wish I could speak fluent Italian so I could talk to my relatived in Italy!

Update:  Suppressent check went well on Monday and I started Lupron, again,  last night.  Go back in for baseline on the 14th and if everything looks good I'll start delestrogen.  So far things are looking better than my cancelled cycle, so I'm trying to remain optimistic.

QOTW: How many languages can you speak? ehhh... I took 7 years of French in middle school and high school, and I can kind of understand, but not a lot.  I've taken some German classes, because my company is owned by a German company and I used to travel there a lot.  I understand more German than I do French, but I'm not a superstar by any means.

Which ones would you like to be able to speak? I'd love to learn Mandarin, because I work with a lot of vendors in Asia.

Hello!

I'm very new to this and I hope I'm posting this correctly. I've felt kind of lost cause I do not know anyone that is close to me that has gone through IF or IVF. I'd love to have other women to talk to and relate to.

This message board looked like a good place to start. My story so far (I apologize if I miss some of the acronyms, still getting use to them. ) is my DH and I have been trying to conceive for 2 years. After 1 year we saw fertility doctor. First one didn't pan out so well. Second one much better. I found out my IF was because of PCOS. I have had PCOS since my teen years, but naive and young I didn't think much about it till I wanted to start a family. 

So far we have been through an HSG (tried naturally again, no success) two rounds of clomid. First one was terminated because my follicles didn't respond. Found out I was never producing eggs before all of this. Second one up'ed the dose with FSH shots. It worked. We were suppose to do IUI but I had to many follicles so got switched to IVF.  We retrieved 4 eggs, but only 1 fertilized. I was so hoping this would be it but after the 2WW we received lower than 5 on the blood test results. My DH was angry and sad, I just felt kind of numb. I eventually broke down the next day and then slowly picked myself back up.

 We talked things out with the doctor and began to put are strong faces back on and aren't giving up. She suggested a month break and then end of May we'll start the next IVF cycle with a different mix of medicine. I want to get back up on the horse and brush myself off. As long as we have the means to get pregnant we'll try what we can. Although sometimes I feel like I'm on an emotional roller coaster and no one but me and my DH understands. That's why I was hoping to find some comfort with others that have shared the same ride.

I wish lots of good luck and vibes to all those going through the same things. It will happen! I'm certain of it just have to be patient as to when.
