just leaving whatever they drop on the ground? I seriously considered leaving my phone on the ground when I dropped it today. A couple days ago, I dropped my keys and almost called in sick to work.
I'm sure it's recall bias but I seem to drop more stuff now too. Having a toddler in the house is no help in this regard.
Really? She's so much closer to the ground, you'd think you could get her to pick stuff up for you. Gosh.
Oh God. I wish it worked like that consistently! It's more the lid that bounced off the tipped cup of cheerios, the spilled yogurt, the gazillion puzzle pieces that are scattered on the ground that are the total thorn in my side. She is quite capable but some things, not so much. And then there is the refusal for no apparent reason at all other than she's a busy toddler with many other important things to do

This 100%. I wonder if my DS is trying to torture me, as it seems everything he comes into contact with ends up on the floor. I just complained to my H that I'm not bending anymore to pick up his toys...it's constant and it's the worst!
Oh I do that constantly. Like even with stuff in the kitchen. I dropped a fork on the floor and just got out a new one. DH got home later and had to pick up a trail of stuff around the house.
And with the delivery trifecra of one twin vaginal, one c-section with general anesthesia for twin B, Spencer and Sidney joined us at 35 weeks exactly on June 18.

Ha! DH asked me to pick up his clothes in the bedroom and 'just toss them down the stairs' where he would then take them to the basement for laundry. Yeah, the whole bending over thing to pick up his clothes lasted a whole, um, 30 seconds? He can do it when he gets home As a pp mentioned, i'm lucky to get undies on after my showers!

haha I love this post, it's all so true...I drop things constantly, and the majority of time they stay there. I was devastated when I dropped my pen at work the other day because I was only carrying 1 at the time, and I had to bend over to get it-- I was seriously contemplating taking the elevator 3 floors down to get one from my desk
I've stopped eating chips...not because I'm trying to stay healthy, but because they are in the bottom of a kitchen cabinet and I'm not willing to bend over that far.

This seriously made me laugh out loud!!! I'm with you 100%. I just leave things most of the time or ask my husband to pick it up for me if he's around. He actually claimed that I walk into a room where he is just to drop things and tell him to pick them up.
Re: Who else is seriously contemplating
I've got one better. Sometimes I can't strain to poop, for fear that the indigestion will creep out and I'll spit up/puke on myself.

I'm SO glad I'm not the only one with a toddler that refuses to pick up anything most of the time.

I am still okay bending down but I hate seeing stars when I stand back up!
