Multiples

Tracking movements/ kick counts?

should we be tracking movements/ doing kick counts if you are having multiples?  sometimes i feel them for an hour at a time and other days maybe only 1-2 times a day.

on my month message board, someone posted that they didn't feel a lot of movement so their doctor wanted them to go to L&D asap.  sometimes i don't feel mine for long stretches.

also, my placentas are anterior, so i think that is messing everything up too.

Re: Tracking movements/ kick counts?

  • My doctor told me not to bother.  It can be really difficult to decipher who you are feeling.  As long as I was feeling movement, we were good to go.

  • Mine wanted me to do them but I didn't really, unless I had a really quiet period of no movement for a while.  I felt movement a lot of the time so I didn't worry too much.  If I did sit down and concentrate on it, I always felt the minimum # pretty quickly (I think it was 10 in an hour or something?).
