hCG levels

Hi ladies,

I just got a call back from the lab and according to my hCG levels, they say I'm between 4-5 weeks pregnant BUT its actually been about 6 1/2 weeks since LMP.  They didn't seem concerned, but I was just wondering if maybe the hCG levels don't account for those first two weeks when you're not actually pregnant yet.  Anyone know?

According to my LPM, I'm due 12/21/12 with #2 (2U2!)

Nobody can tell you how far along you exactly are by hCG. It's a wide varying range per week for the levels. Also, LMP can be WAY off. For instance, if I went by my LMP I would be due mid November. However, I know when I ovulated so that changes. If you don't know when you ovulated then you could very well be a week or 2 behind where you thought you were with your LMP. You won't know your set in stone due date until your first U/S which most doctors won't do until 7-9 weeks.

It's way to hard to use beta's to date at this point. Like the person above me said, there is such a wide range. The first u/s done for dates will really set things in stone.
