How are you feeling?  When do you go in for your beta?

You are so sweet for asking.  I came back to work today.  I just got hit with an emergency that will occur in the next hour.  I have never been so excited for an emergency but that should keep me occupied for a while.  I threw up yesterday and got really excited.  Then I remembered that I ate at the comedy club and I threw up last time I ate there.  I also did a lot of cart before the horse shopping that I then had DH hide.  He can dispose of the evidence if needed.

My beta is not until May 9.  The weird thing is that I could not make the appointment.  I am usually an early tester but I could not do it.  Today, DH finally called for me to schedule.

Emergencies at work can be a godsend, helps the time go by quicker that's for sure!

When was your retrieval?  May 9 seems a long time away, I thought your retrieval was two weeks ago?

Retrieval was April 21 so only a little over a week ago but it feels like about two months ago.  I think that I am going to test Sunday.  I would rather have a day to process the news than to find out in my office while I am training new staff.  I did tell my boss that if I get a BFN on the beta, I may leave for the day and not come back for the rest of the week.  Dramatic, yes but I have three more weeks of vacation to use before the end of the year.

I really do need to stop eating at the comedy club.  It is a two order minimum and I got a soda so I needed one more item.

I just looked at your siggie.  When do you go for your next beta?  It is still going up so are they more positive than before?

I also tested a day before my beta.  I just wanted time to process the info before hearing the news at work.

I go in tomorrow afternoon for an ultrasound to figure out what's going on.  Based on my slow rising numbers, there is a possiblity of an ectopic.  My doubling time is more like 4 days vs 48 hours which is worrisome, my betas should be in the thousands by now (I would be 6 weeks tomorrow).  I really don't think it's ectopic, I know there is still a possiblity but usually with IVF that possibility is very small.  I am expecting it to be a blighted ovum or if there is something there, it may be chromosomally abnormal to be developing this slowly.

And Sunday sounds like a good time to test, that would be 15 days post retrieval.  My first beta was taken at 14 days post retrieval.
