gift for newborn?

I had no idea what board to ask this question on so I thought this might be a good place since you all have little babies.  What is a good gift for a two month old for Christmas?  My nephew will be two months at christmas and we aren't sure what to get for him since he just got everything at the shower.  We were thinking a bond or something to that effect.  Any ideas of what you ladies would like for your babies?

I'm hoping she gets a lot of books. She likes to be read to and we're trying to make it part of a bedtime routine.

A bond is a wonderful idea - but you have to get the SSN from the parents.

You could also check the registry to see fi there is anything still on there they may want/need.

Books, or maybe some toys that he can use when he's a little older?  DS didn't have any toys for the age he's at now.

Dvd's as these will be needed in their collection. ?Bouncy saucers, bouncy swing, anything that will be needed from 4 months on.

My friend got me a beautiful picture frame and a gift certificate to the Kiddie Candids portrait studio at Babies R Us. ?I thought it was a GREAT idea and I'm actually going to take DS their this week for his 3 month pictures:) ??

Here are a few gifts that I loved: personalized burp clothes, engraved piggy bank with DS name and birthdate, gymboree membership, items for next summer; little pool, beach tent, etc.
