I know there's at least one of you out there because you were kind enough to comment on my introductory (Can I really post as a December Mom thread) post.
I realize it's not competely different from a "natural" conception but there definitely are differences, one is that I'm still being pumped full of hormones so I know that my symptoms and feelings are ones different from others.
If you're out there, where do you get your IVF support? Are you still on progesterone and estrogen? If so, how long will you be on it? Do you know if you're expecting multiples or not? Due date, etc.
I appreciate the rest of you, I was just wondering b/c it's been a different kind of journey ![]()

Re: Are There IVF December Moms Out There?
We did IVF.
I am on crinone, promethium and estrogen patches until week 11. We are due 12/13/12 with Twins!! Very excited. We have our first visit with the OB this Wednesday. I am hoping for another sono so I can see the babies again. I am still in a shock....after not thinking we would ever have kids this is still a little surreal.
I didn't do IVF, but I did go through IUI.
The Success after IF and Pregnant after IF boards are pretty much the only IF support I go to.
3/12 150mg Clomid + B2B IUI =BFP!! TWINS!
Vanishing twin at week 6
Tater-tot born January 3rd 2013

3 IUI's in 2017- BFN
8/17 IUI BFP!!!!!!!!
**Waves hello**
We did IVF also. I am currently on crinone and prometrium and I'm not sure when I'll be stopping because my P4 was low at my first beta. We transferred two embies but my first u/s isn't untill 5/1 so I don't know how many stuck around! I think just one based on my betas. I am due 12/15/12. The PAIF board is wonderful; it's really the only place I post...I mostly just lurk here. Congratulations!!!!

IVF #7 August 2019-....?
Well congratulations to you all!..and I did IUI (well tried except there was no sperm count at IUI) so I can say that it is a bumpy infertility road!
I'm glad to hear that I'm not alone on the meds after IVF and the uncertainty of it all (which is normal anyway). My first u/s is Wed and I'm dying to see how many are in there!
Warm wishes to you all, can't wait to follow in your journeys!
I also did IVF, and I remember posting on your intro! I took my last dose of Estrace yesterday, and will continue PIO shots until week 10 or 12 depending on my blood levels.
It still feels surreal and I'm still terrified of m/c... Somehow having taken so long to get here makes everything feel so high anxiety!
Severe MFI. Me: supposedly all clear but eggs showed vacuoles.
IVF #1 January 2012, ER Jan 14th: 34R, 27M, 23F. Day 3: 18 embies still strong. Day 5: zero "good," one "fair," the rest "poor." Transferred 3. None made it to blast or to freeze. Jan 28: BFN.
Lucky IVF #2: Transferred two beautiful day three embies on St. Patrick's Day. BFP on HPT 7dp3dt. Beta 1 (14dpER)=106; Beta 2 (16dpER)=140; Beta 3 (19dpER)=264! First u/s 4.17.

I didn't do IVF for this pregnancy but had my daughter thanks to IVF. You certainly are welcome to post on the Success after Infertility Board and/or the Pregnant after Infertility Board. Both have some very knowledgable ladies on them.
Congrats!
Kelly, Mom to Christopher Shannon 9.27.06, Catherine Quinn 2.24.09, Trey Barton lost on 12.28.09, Therese Barton lost on 6.10.10, Joseph Sullivan 7.23.11, and our latest, Victoria Maren 11.15.12
Secondary infertility success with IVF, then two losses, one at 14 weeks and one at 10 weeks, then success with IUI and then just pure, crazy luck. Expecting our fifth in May as the result of a FET.
This Cluttered Life
We did 5 IVF cycles before finding out my blood disorder will prevent me from carrying. We now have a gestational carrier. So even tho I am not the one that is pregnant, I definitely understand the daily hormone regiment, injections, and all the craziness that goes with it.
Unfortunately, our situation is even a little more different that there isn't much out there for IVF with a surrogate.
Our surrogate is still on daily estrogen pills and Divigel, along with the POI injections. We can stop them at 12 weeks when we are released to an OB from the RE. Our 1st and 2nd u/s showed just one baby (we transferred 2 embryos). Our next u/s is at 10 weeks. We are due Dec. 9.
IVF is a TOTALLY different journey for sure!!!
I am carrying an IVF baby too.
I'm on oral Estrace 1/day (though I started with 2/day) and Prometrium suppositories 2/day until 5/7. That'll be just about 10 weeks. I feel pretty "normal" at this point. Finally, I'm just pregnant like everyone else and can relate well with the other mommies around.
First IVF Cycle 8/22 - ER = 11 Eggs, 10 Mature, 9 Fertilized 9/7 - Beta = BFN
FET - Two Frozen Blasts -11/10/11. BFN IVF#2 3/17 - Lucky Day! 3day transfer, 2 healthy embryos. 4/2 - Beta #1 949! BFP!! <a href="http://www.thenest.com/?utm_source=ticker&utm_medium=HTML&utm_campaign=tickers" title="D
