Just got a call from my RE who said my AMH is 0.8 and my Anticardiolipin Antibody is 31.5. He will be putting me on baby aspirin once/day for the ACA levels and recheck in 1 month. I guess I'm comfused how my AMH can be low when my FSH was normal (I don't remember exactly what it was). Aren't they both a measure of ovarian reserve?
Also, I'm having a hard time finding what my high ACA value means in simple terms.
RE said he doesn't think these values caused my 2 early losses. He also said I will likely be on higher dosages of fertility meds when we get to that point (right now treatment is just TI and Prometrium, and now baby aspirin).
Any input/wisdom would be greatly appreciated!!
Re: Come in if you know about AMH & ACA levels
My understanding is that FSH fluctuates more, while AMH stays rather level. AMH is a newer test, and your RE evaluates the number in conjunction with your other results, like FSH and antral follicle count. I have also read papers that suggest a possible link between low AMH and vitamin D deficiency. My AMH is about where yours is, my FSH and antral follicle counts are okay, and I was deficient in Vit D. Have been supplementing, but haven't had AMH tested again to see if it made a dif.
I can't help with the ACA, as I know absolutely nothing about it. GL!

Thanks ladies. Do you think I should ask my RE about measuring my AFC? He didn't mention anyhing about that.
Also, that is really interesting about the Vit D deficiency. My OBGYN diagnosed me as deficient several years ago, but then we moved and my new OBGYN said that they are now over-diagnosing Vit D deficiencies and so I stopped taking the supplements. I'm interested in reading more about it!

For me, it was just something they observed while doing standard cd3 ultrasounds. I never got it specifically tested, but if you aren't yet doing ultrasound monitoring, you could always ask the RE if he thinks it would be useful to find out your AFC.
