Trouble TTC

1st visit with new PCP--Got my referral!

I met my new PCP today and she was SO much more understanding than my last doc. She gave me the referral for the RE I want to see, and suggested I keep my appt with my ob/gyn as well so that I can have answers from both the OB and the RE. So I see the ob/gyn in a week or so and the RE May 23rd.

One thing my PCP told me is that because IF is more common now, most patients are starting clomid with the ob/gyn and after a few failed cycles sending them to the RE. Their goal is just to get people pregnant. They have a "success" wall at my ob's office, and I saw a lot of multiples. I still think they don't plan to do all the necessary monitoring and don't think it's actually necessary.

I still have a feeling I'm out for the next cycle because I'm not going to get all my questions answered before I would start clomid, but I don't even know when that cycle will start. I'm on cd48 with no sign of AF.

Me: 26 DH: 32
TTC since 08/2010
Anovulatory since at least 12/2010 (probably longer, unDx)
Dx PCOS 3/2012

  • I see you have an appointment set up for May with an RE.  I really think that's the best course of action. A very close friend of mine got pregnant with a Clomid cycle with her OB but she was monitored closely.  That's really important. Anyway, good luck to you.
