Another Membrane Sweep ?

I know we've had posts about whether or not the sweep did anything, but for those of you that it did work for, how long until you started feeling contractions/cramping?

I had mine done about 4 hours ago and no increase in mucus, braxton hicks, or anything.  I was wondering if maybe it just takes a while?

I didn't feel anything until the next day. Contractions and cramping right after though, but I got my show for 3 days after. No labor though.

my friend had hers done last thursday and nothing happened and so she was induced today. she was already at almost 41 weeks when she had her sweep. i think it's pretty hit or miss. if your body is ready it helps moves things along, if not it might not do anything.

i had another friend who had hers "swept" and went into labor the next day. i really think your body needs to be ready to go into labor for a membrane sweep to work, just my opinion.
