Yes, our LO is pretty gassy so we've given him gripe water. We followed the dosing instructions on the box and only use it if he seems like his tummy is hurting. Seems to have worked well the few times we've used it.
Dont really have much advice on the pumping front. DS can't latch so I'm EP and I am having to supplement a little with formula because I can't keep up with his demand. If you make more than he's eating you should be fine. (I'm just not one of those lucky people.) Good luck!!

2) pumping: I would nurse on one breast and then pump on the other. Kill 2 birds with one stone--Easy! It also makes your letdown go much faster on the pumping side since you're nursing on the other.
