1st time taking Provera-side effects?'s

Hey ladies, I hope your weekend is going well

I was wondering what kind of side effects that you've experienced with Provera, this is my first time ever having to take it. Every morning I seem to be sick to my stomach until I eat breakfast and the little things have really been irritating, along with hunger at times.

I've been taking 10mg at 9 right before bed. DH asked me yesterday when I should expect my period I felt like I couldn't give him a direct answer.

I just got done taking a round of Provera and the only side effect I had was my cramps were more intense than usual. I took my last pill the day before Easter and started spotting the next evening and my period started on Wednesday. However, my period seems to be a little longer than it usually is, but no real side effects. Good luck!

I've taken it 3 times. Each time I was super tired and crabby. My period always started 2 days after the last pill when I took the 5 day pills and 4 days after on the 10 day pills.

I have taken provera many times to induce a period.  It generally gives me a dizzy/drunk feeling if I don't take it right before bed.  Other than that, I mostly get more intense pms-like symptoms and I generally get my period about 4-6 days after the last pill.

I just finished my last pill Thursday and got my period yesterday - although I've never experienced cramping (intense) with past periods, I noticed I started having some light cramping on Friday and then very intense once my period actually came. Now it's calmed down and I'm just bloated. I did have some nausea as well, but it passed pretty quickly.

The last time I took it, my period started two days after the 10 pills. My only side effect was my period was super heavy.

I just finished my first round of provera on Friday ( I did take when I was 18, with no effects). The side effects I had this time were more intense cramps and a little dizziness. I started spotting today, well late sunday. If I can offer advice from my last time taking it, do not be alarmed by a heavy period. Provera causes your lining to shed and in most cases, the reason for taking provera, our periods do not occur regularly.

Hi, it's my first time with provera too... i'm on day 5 and i've had nausea after taking it the first days and headaches, i think it give you like a stronger pms. Hope it's better for you. Good luck everyone! it's my first time posting :-)
