I can't put the baby down.

Since we got home saturday I think that the baby has been out of my arms for maybe six hours- this is including meals and showers. If someone else (DH or DD) holds her, I make sure I get her back ASAP. I sleep (if you want to call it that) sitti g up with the boppy and Lily sleeps on me.... I really need to figure out how to put her down...

Please call me and let me know your tricks when you figure it out. I'm sleeping in the recliner with baby propped on my chest at night as well.  He hates the bouncer and the swing.  I believe it's a conspiracy!

I was the same way with my son.  This time around I am forcing myself to put DD down.  It isnt easy, especially with your first.  You want to love on them, they smell intoxicating and you are terrified they will stop breathing.  It's hard but you really should try to put them down.  I did have a difficult time getting DS to go to sleep on his own once he was older.  It may just have been his personality but I do believe it had a little bit to do with me never putting him down for the first 4-5 months.

I try to put baby down. She will last long enough for me to pee and then start screaming. I wish I had the answer, but I don't.
