I may start timing my gas pains...

When I went into labor with my DS2 (at 39wks) I thought I had bad gas/had to poop. It wasn't until a few hours after in and out of the bathroom I realized I was in labor. Now i'm having waves of gas pains/menstrual cramping. It's probably nothing, and that I just need to let out a big fart. But i've had it all morning. I'm certainly not getting my hopes up.

I hope this is it for you!!! But I know how you feel about not getting your hopes up - it stinks when it feels like it could be the real thing and it isn't. Good luck!!!

At the risk of sounding snarky, you need to do something to get your mind off of labor. Get off The Bump, and go do something. You could go overdue, like many of us are, and if that's the case you've got a long 10+ days ahead of you.

I just got done scrubbing my laundry room top to bottom for the past 4 hours while my DS's were in school. I am bumping from my phone while they now eat lunch. When they're done i'm going back to cleaning my house. Then I have to go to work tonight. Rinse. And repeat in the morning. I have plenty to do and keep my mind off of labor. I'm more anxious about it because i'm a vbac2er, and if I don't start showing signs of labor (i.e more dialation and effacement), they will want to induce me shortly after 40 weeks. And an induction for a vbac-er is almost a gauranteed fail, which means a repeat c-section.

I've felt the same way since last night -- crampy/gas pains. I've tooted and pooped a couple of times but the pain continues. I alerted DH at school to get his sub plans ready and to cross his fingers that this is the beginning. I've cleaned house all morning (yay for nesting!) so that my house could be ready for company. After lunch I'm moving on to yard work. I don't want to read too much into a few cramps, but I REALLY want this to be it!
