This is what happens when your husband has color deficiency

We are using the Pampers sensitive swaddler diapers right now that have the wetness indicator line that is yellow when dry and green when wet. MH is a great father so far, but as a first time dad, he is still a bit clueless.

Jake was crying and I asked him to check his diaper to see if it was wet. He asked "how do you know" to which I replied, "if the line is green it is wet. If it is yellow he is dry." MH responds saying, "It's yellow." I finally get over to him to find a green line. He tells me it is yellow, so I have to compare it to a dry diaper to show him the real yellow. Ah, I love MH.

  • those won't work for us, SO is actually red/green color blind.

  • Just wait until LO is old enough to learn colors.  I am afraid DD won't know the difference between blue and purple if she continues to get lessons on colors from her dad.  I literally had to go over the colors in DD block set this weekend with MH so that he'd know what to tell her ;-)

  • My H is red/green too. It leads to DD wearing some pretty hilarious outfits.

  • I feel your pain. DH is color blind as well. He has more trouble with greens and browns, but sometimes green and yellow too. It's funny how common it is! I often wonder if DS will be color blind too.
