Kylie's Birth Story ... Induction Fail

I was scheduled to be induced on 4/11/12 for HBP and swelling issues. We arrived at the hospital at 9:00pm and got settled into our room. They start out placing my IV. They stuck me 3 times in my left arm and finally got it in on my right. They blamed it on me having tough skin ? RIGGHHT! We got started with a dose of Cervidil at 11:00pm. I woke up at 2:00am with consistent contractions about 2-3 minutes apart. At 3:30 they checked me and I was still closed. So we started another does. The contractions were becoming a bit more intense at this point. I requested some pain meds. They checked me again at 8:00am and I was still closed. I was so frustrated at this point. They decided to give me 1 more dose at 11:00 am. I was becoming pretty miserable with constant contractions and the pain meds were making me pretty loopy. At about 3:00 my water broke. That was the weirdest feeling ever. I had soooo much fluid! They checked me and I was STILL CLOSED!! This baby just did not want to come out this day. So we head in for a C-section. Everything pretty much went in fast forward at this point. Kylie Nicole was born at 5:34pm on April 12^th weighing 8lbs 11ozs. She was a Big Girl. She is the sweetest baby in the world and I could not be happier. I have to say my husband has been so helpful and great with this little girl. It was so not what I was expecting. It almost makes me want to cry he is being so Amazing. I feel so blessed. I haven?t posted that often, but this board has helped me get through the past 9 months.
