Two days old and already called the paramedics!

It was a rough morning! Woke Amelia up to change and feed her and as I began to change her diaper she seemed to have difficulty breathing. Turned her over and patted her back and she seemed to get better. Then when I lay her down she began to struggle to breathe again! I then noticed she had a lot of phlem in her mouth and nose, so we quickly suctioned her. She repeated this about 5 times and we were really starting to freak out that she couldnt seem to catch her breath. We ended up calling the paramedics who checked her out. They said she seemed okay but as precaution took her by ambulance to emergency. I lost it when she was strapped into her carseat and then to the stretcher! She was all checked out by the ER and seems to be okay. Let me tell you, after all we have been through for this baby girl, I dont know what I would have done if something had happened to her!

Oh how scary, what an ordeal for just 2 days old!!!  I'm glad all is ok and hope you can relax a bit now:)  Poor little thing!

I'm glad she is okay! That must have been very scary. Hopefully things will be easier from here on out.

How scary! Did they just tell you she had a lot of phlegm and that was normal or is she sick? Thank goodness you were so alert! I hope everything settles down for you soon!

Glad she is OK! I don't blame you mama, breathing issues are the scariest!

I'm so glad she's ok. We had something like this happen at 6 days old. Scariest time of my life. Hopefully no more scares!

Thanks ladies! They arent sure why she did it, but everything looked normal on her tests. She did it again today so we are trying different things to see if that helps.
