Just when you think your week can't get any worse....

So, I have had terrible back pain all week, a hard time at work, and then I dropped my laptop on my foot.  So today on my way home from my mom's I see blue lights. I am thinking, surely that can't be me.  I didn't run any  red lights, wasn't speeding, etc.  So I get pulled over only to find out for some reason I have no insurance on my car.  We just payed it in February so it shouldn't be due. He took my tag right on the spot, so we had to have the car towed home. Of course, this happens on a Sunday when I can't contact my agent or insurance company to find out, what the crap is going on.  I am so mad.   I get he was doing his job but good frigging grief.  Oh, and my birthday is Tuesday.  Happy stinking birthday to me.  UGH!!!  I knew bad days would come, but do they really have to come all at one time!!!

I'm so sorry! This happened to my boss and it was a mix-up at the insurance company. They ended up reimbursing him for the cost of the impound but it was still a huge hassle.

That is crazy. I wonder if he was just like, "hey that lady driving the (insert cool car here) probably has an arrest warrant out. I should run her plates. Hum, just a small lapse in insurance... good enough." ::hits lights::

I hope your agent straightens it out, and reimburses you for towing costs. Happy early Birthday :-)

That sort of happened to me except instead of my plates being taken, I got a notice that my license was suspended for not having insurance.  Turns out when our DMV faxed Geico to verify my insurance , someone never faxed them back.  Sigh.  Hope it gets straightened out ASAP.

 My bday is on Tues too.  Happy birthday to us!

what a jerk. I would think if you explained he might let it go. Not like you look some sort of criminal. Expecially with no record...

I know!  And I had Savannah in the car.  Yeah, lady with a baby. UGH!  And then this morning, I dropped my mirror and broke it.  Not a superstitious person but really!!
