Has anyone had any experience or heard of this monitor? Apparently it has a pad that sounds an alarm if your baby stops moving for 20 seconds.
We weren't even planning on getting a baby monitor, because baby will be in our room for the first month or so, and our condo isn't really that large. My mom is asking if we want one, but I could think of other things we'd rather have.
Re: Angel Care Baby Monitor
My DH talked to a coworker who said not to get it. If the baby rolls off the pad it'll sound and you'll panic. Apparently that happens a lot and it can cause more trouble than it's worth. It's still something I think is pretty cool but my anxiety would likely shoot through the roof with it.
We got one. I'm a FTM so I haven't actually used it with a baby yet, but it seems like it will be really nice.
I am so paranoid about SIDS (my brother died from sids) so I figured this will help me sleep better at night.
I have the AngelCare Deluxe model (comes with 2 handsets and 2 movement pads) and its been a savior. Seriously. I was so paranoid to sleep our first night home but I was able to because H found that there was a feature that gave a tiny tick every time baby breathed....I ended up tuning it out, but its still reassuring when I fall asleep. There's also sound that you can set to turn on only when there's noise on the other end...
This things amazing, seriously.
We have the angel care monitor, can't give any review yet as my baby refuses to leave my uterus.
When I first heard of it I thought it sounded like overkill, but I figure it's worth a shot. Might save me from hours of standing over her as she sleeps trying to determine if she is still breathing or not...
