Contractions ALL day, then I go to bed and nothin'. @#$&%@

I am SOOO SICK OF THAT HAPPENING!! I have contractions ALL day long. Sometimes they get pretty strong and I get super excited. Then they usually die down a bit, space out, but I still have them pretty frequently throughout the day. I ALWAYS go to bed and think, "If this is really it, they will surely wake me up and it'll be baby time!" And EVERY night, I go to bed, and they automatically stop and I feel wonderful. all night long. I can't even begin to tell you how frustrated I am with that!

Happen to anyone else? I am starting to REALLY, really hate my body.

That happened to me for two weeks before I went into labor, and it was awful--I'm so sorry you're dealing with it! The good news is that all those contractions had me at 4cm, totally thinned, and zero station. I only pushed two or three times. I know it's horrible, but I'm sure your body is making progress. Hang in there!

Sadly, I am really not making any progress. My last check was Wednesday and I was still 1cm...after 4 weeks. But, they have been a lot stronger SINCE Wednesday, so maybe they are doing something now. I can only hope something will happen VERY soon, and these horrible nights of feeling wonderful will end. (Crazy how I wish for that!!?) :-P

I am the opposite!  I will wake up to contractions... and have them all night... then in the morning the miraculously stop Grrrr... All day I am anxious of them to return and they don't until I try to go to sleep again...

It's been happening to me for 2 weeks now. Every night I go to bed thinking I'll wake up in labor and every morning I have to get up and goto work. It's infuriating! At 39 weeks and 4days I am losing my mind. I'll wish labor on you tonight if you wish the same for me.

I had the opposite, contractions that woke me at night and I couldn't sleep through, but weren't regular at all or increasing in frequency. They stopped at 6 AM on the dot despite losing my plug one night and having bloody show the next. My labor ended up being short, though, so that's a plus. Don't know if it was the contractions leading up to it or because it was my 2nd.

I'm the opposite.  I have contractions through the night and they go away by morning. SIGH

I had contractions pretty much all day yesterday, and they woke me up last night. They are gone now and I am fine. It is very frustrating!

I keep waking up in the middle of the night w/ strong contractions and cramps and thinking "this is it!" only to have them subside after about 30 minutes. boo.

Yep same thing here. Or I'll get them starting in the evening for a few hours. And i'm also in the same 1cm boat. She checked me yesterday and said, 1cm and thick, and I think I actually said, "What the f*ck." outloud. I asked her how it could be possible to have ALL those contractions AND be on my 3rd pregnancy and still be 1 damn centimeter and thick.

Same thing for me! Contractions light - moderate all day and evening and when I go to bed....nothing!  I keep thinking that one night I will wake up with hard contractions but nope.  Everyday the sun comes up and I am frustrated.  Like groundhogs day over and over....
