2+ mums, relinquishing control of DC#1?

Hi ladies,

DH is taking Cruz (DS#1) for a haircut today.  I've always taken him.  Can I trust him to coach the barber not to shear him like a sheep?!  I'm such a control freak and used to organising everything, but baby Beau needs me more right now so DH has taken over a lot of things for Cruz.  It's hard for me to sit on the couch BFing for an hour, watching DH and not give him a million instructions.  I need to chill out, LOL.

Anyone feel this way also?  I guess it will take getting used to, huh.

  • I know exactly what you mean. I have had such a hard time giving up my time with my first son and letting others take care of him. I know he is fine but I just feel awful. Plus he is having a pretty hard time adjusting to the new baby and it makes me feel horrible that his feelings can get so hurt sometimes when I am holding or feeding the baby and not able to play or snuggle with him. Sad It has gotten a little better in the last couple of weeks but it is definitely hard since he went from being my entire world to having to share me.
