bath tub question

With our first baby, we used a cushion to bathe him. https://www.target.com/Safer-Bather-Infant-Bath-Pad/dp/B00005JIVI/qid=1225640792/ref=br_1_5/189-5796273-9954458?ie=UTF8&node=13914581&frombrowse=1&rh=&page=1

It worked just fine for sponge baths when he was a newborn, he could laid on it in the tub til he could sit up, then he sat on it when he was 6-8 months old. I'm registered for a tub this time (rainforest tub) and am wondering if I really need it. They take up so much room!!!!

What do you recommend for bathing???

Re: bath tub question

  • I honestly find that filling the regular tub a little and holding DC's head up and letting her body/bum float works the best. The tub restricts the easiness of reaching all her spots. Good luck!

  • We registered for a little tub and actually never thought we would actually receive it.  Well, we did and decided to use it.  We put it in the bathtub and put a towel on the bottom ( to help her from slipping so much and it is easy for me to pull the towel when I need to scoot her closer to me).  So, at the PP said, you could totally do the same thing in the big tub.  It is just your preference.
