which sleep training method?

has anyone tried both "ferber method" and the "no cry sleep solution"? i bought the no cry one and have not had much luck yet and am about to give in and try ferber. which one did you like/have luck with and why? thanks!!

TTC since 9-5-09 BFP #1 7-19-10 missed m/c 9-3-10 BFP #2 1-12-11 stick baby! BFP #3 9-13-14. First u/s 10-10-14 TWINS!!

    I only read Ferber, and it worked wonders for us.  DD was ready to STTN but just needed some training.  It only took 3 nights of weaning off feedings and wakeups, and she now does great!  She was 6 months 1 week.
