Question for Jewish ladies

During the Passover seder I kept thinking of the parallel between slavery and IF. How those of us in here have "escaped" that tyranny but we cannot fully rejoice when others are suffering. Does that seem like too much of a stretch?

I am just lurking here since we are likely starting to cycle again FET, meeting with the RE tomorrow night, anyways I liked your comment though not sure if I belong here on this board.  We just had our Seder on Friday night and I see your parallel.  How can anyone rejoice if there is suffering of any kind?  When it is one of one's life's goals to conceive, not having that which so many people take for granted can feel or seem like slavery.  I can see the connection with the total lack of control as one might have had as an Israelite slave and the total lack of control over one's body when having to use ART to conceive.  The freedom to conceive naturally is taken away when one has to use ART.  And the end result, when it works, is amazing, even if it feels like you have been wandering the desert for 40 years to get there, the freedom in the birth of that child(ren) is the IF promised land.  Just my thoughts though.
