If you have started solids, please indicate that too. Just wondering when it will get a lil easier ; ) We just started some cereal and I will start baby food in 2 weeks when DD is 6 months. Some sites say that BF babies should be on 4-6 nursings a day by now... but we are still in the 6-8 and sometimes 8-10! Just wondering if those stats are "off" on the websites.

Re: EBF'ers How many feedings is LO on now?
I am not an EBF during the work week, but am on the weekend. DD used to eat every 2 hours during the day on the weekend. She has been going in 3 hour stretches most of the time the last couple weeks. Usually the busier we are the less often she eats.
Edit - we do 1-2 meals a day.
Thanks, May I ask when did you start 3 meals? I asked my pedi and he told me I can do 2-3 meals a day. For now we are doing 2, but I may want to add the 3rd since she loves her cereal. She is very interested in food. Tries to grab things off my plate! hhah
We were at 6-8 until about 7 months.
She's 8 and a half months now and we are at 5 feedings per day and 3 meals. She takes BM at 7am, 11am, 3pm, 7pm, and right before bed (about 8:30pm). She eats breakfast (cereal and one cube of fruit) around 8, lunch (3 cubes fruit/veggies) around noon, and dinner (2 veggies and cereal, sometimes with fruit) around six.
All in all she's about 28oz of milk per day.
Don't listen to the sites. Listen to your baby! DS eats every time the family eats. I figure that he's a person and needs to sit at the table too. He's on three solid meals a day plus nursing on demand. I think he nurses around 6-8x throughout the day but I don't keep track. He also nurses 1-3x at night but at your baby's age he was doing way more than that (but he's always been a crappy sleeper).
The stats on the website are off! It's the author's view of what the perfect baby on the perfect routine would do. It's a bunch of BS!

We added the 3rd meal right after 6 mos. My buddy LOVES his solids, too. He eats probably 6 oz or so of solids per meal.

~All AL'ers welcome~
I'm in the camp of do what your baby wants. But, we're still at 8-9x (2 of those are during the night) per day still. DD also gets offered solids twice per day but she never takes more than an ounce at a time...and that's on a good day. It's probably because she's taking in so much milk...but that's supposed to be her main source of nutrition at this point anyway. And, honestly, I think breastfeeding is way easier than feeding solids. So, I'm not complaining!
Generally DD is still BFing 7-9 times a day, every 2 hours while awake, and a couple times throughout the night.
We are doing BLW, so she is offered food 3 times a day, but how much she ingests varies a lot depending on the day and foods offered.
This! But DS doesn't eat much yet. We are doing BLW, so he tries what we're eating, then usually ends up "sharing" his meal with the dog.
Still 7-8 times a day, including 4-5 bottles when I'm at work. I must add the fine print that I don't make much milk so she gets hungry faster than some babies would. She also eats oatmeal or purees 2-3 times per day, along with a mum or two. Sorry to say but I noticed absolutely no change in her nursing demands when she started solids.
