New to bump!

Hi-

My husband and i have been trying to adopt our second child for three years.  In January we found out are agency was termianting their adoption services, so we ar back to square one.

 We are starting to wonder if #2 is even possible.  Without spending a fortune, and waiting another 3 years, anoyone have any thoughts?

We areopen to everything, race, sex, openness with BPs.  ANd no foster isnt rught for us now, maybe in a few years when our first son is older.

OF course... but we would have to start over from the beginning.  After waiting 3 years, thats alot to swallow. We will do it of course, but in the mean time, if we could learn of another option, we would appreciate the help!

I just wanted to say welcome to the board. We are in the process of adopting our first I hope that there is another option and you won't have to start over.

Hi, and welcome.  I'm so sorry to hear about your program closing!  Take some time and when you are ready, consider your options.  I'm sure there will be something that would work out for you, and it won't necessarily have to take another 3 years.

I've been there, in that dark place, when you find out something's changed and you feel like you have to start all over, and you think it's just never going to happen.  In my case, just when things felt their bleakest, we paused for just a little while, and things always seemed more clear after.  I wish you the same kind of clarity!
