Is Max too far off of a nn for Maddox?

I don't think it's too far off, but I much prefer the full names Max or Maxwell instead of Maddox (it's a little too Angelina for me).

Thanks! Our original name is Felix but having a hard time coming up with a nn, not that I necessarily have to have one but it would be nice. Just trying to keep our options open!

I agree and I think many people will. She kind of ruined the name.

I think there's a regular poster on this board whose son is named Maddox but goes by Max.  Maybe she'll post here in a bit.

I would go with Maxwell or something closer if you really want to use Max as a nn.  But you could probably get away with the Maddox/Max thing if you really want to.

Or you could name him Pax  :-)

Thanks for all the responses! I think I'll just stick to my original plan and go with Felix. And call him Felix I like max but it's too much of a nn for me to use as a first full name and maxwell is nms.
