What are you looking forward to doing the most this summer?

I am so ready for the summer and warm weather (I can't really complain about the weather as this has been an amazing spring but I am ready for the 70's and up to stay everyday).  I love summer - fav season of all time - I am such a warm weather person (don't ask why I live in MN, I question that move all the time!!!)

For me, I really can't wait to just be outside as much as possible - nightly family walks, letting the kids ride bikes, scooters and take them to the park.  WE have a big family vacation every summer and I am really looking forward to this years - we are going to the Traverse City area in MI and I just love this area so much plus my girls are finally old enough to do a lot of the same things as their older cousins and to just do more things in general plus they can stay up later at night and they don't always need a nap.

Other than that - trips to the beach/pool are a must for this summer as my girls are both little fish!!

DH and I have a date planned for an afternoon of wine tasting at a great local winery and I'm really looking forward to that afternoon to just go and relax (when we did this last summer, we had the girls sleep at my ILs so we could really have a nice relaxing day - wine tasting, nice dinner out, etc and I am hoping to do the same this year).

  • I am looking forward to the summer!

~No more nightly spelling/sight word quizes!

~Going to the waterpark- I just bought out season passes.  Its going to be a blast!

~Swimming lessons- its the only activity we do in the summer so the evenings are much calmer

~I would love to visit my mother and we are planning on letting the big kids stay with her for a week & offering a week for MIL.  In order to plan this, I have to wait on MH to decided who, what, when where...maybe while I am visiting mom, we can make a side trip to the beach : )

~The heat is almost too much here; it gets 110+ at times!  Unless you are in the water, you don't want to be outside.  It's perfect no in the 80s and sometimes 90s.

~No vacay plans so far this summer though I get almost a week off in July due to holidays & anniversary days

~I am not looking forward to paying for 3 kids in daycare...looking at all my options now (summer camps, etc)

-summer festivals in our little downtown area

-Memorial Day parade downtown -  DS will be marching in the parade this year <3

-Hopefully going to Chicago for a long weekend to see the museums.  I think the big kids are a great age for it this year, so I can't wait to show them the big city and all the cool museums.

  • We just bought & moved into our new house that has a beautiful "tropical" back yard with a pool.  I'm excited to just hang in the pool all summer.

  • I am a teacher, so being off of work is what I look forward to most:)  I look forward to using the extra time to spend at the pool, running/walking outside, going to the park, picnics, hiking, bbqs, running through the sprinkler, spending time with the mom's group, etc.
  • so much!
the beach! we spend a lot of the summer down there at my parent's house. i am going to probably take a month off towards the end of summer and be down there for most of the time.
the pool- during the week we go over w. neighbors and our dc takes swimming lessons too. it's so great.
daytrips- we usually do sesame place, the aquirum, zoo a few times. we haven't been there this winter so looking forward to them.
baseball-both tball for my dc and going to some pro games. we always say if we can't be at the beach, we want to be at the ballpark.
concerts-we have a few we want to go to this summer.
weddings-we have a few this summer of some of our best friends so should be fun!
