DHA/EPA supplement

I'm taking a prenatal though it doesn't have DHA/EPA. Should I want until my first appointment (4/22) to talk to my doctor before adding these in or is it safe to go ahead and start? I just want to make sure I'm taking the right dosage.

And while I'm already asking questions... I want to try taking extra B6 for nausea (today is my first day feeling a little queasy) should I wait for this as well?

Re: DHA/EPA supplement

  • I started b6 long before I got pregnant ton raise my stores. I am a pharmacist and can tell you there is no interactions with the pnv. Same with he DHA. I, personally, would just take them. Theyre pretty safe :) ETA: I should mention I take both of those now also!

  • Thank you so much! Would you mind taking a look at these?

They were the only ones I could find here that had actual amounts per serving listed. I've done a little internet research and they seem to be in the ballpark of the dosage for pregnant women, but I could definitely use a little reassurance. (I don't know if the rosemary extract under "other ingredients" is ok or not.)

I was taking a b complex for to lengthen my LP but I stopped as it had a lot of folic acid, so paired with my prenatal I didn't want to take too much since I heard that can mask a b12 deficiency. For the b6 to work for nausea, would I have to take it regularly or can that be taken as needed? (The one I have is 50mg, which was the smallest amount I could find.)

I know that you probably can't give medical advice over the internet but could you at least give a little gentle guidance? :)
