recommendations for baby sunscreen/block & shampoo/body wash

I am wondering what ecofriendly sunscreen mamas use on their babies and toddlers? Also, currently we use J&J body wash. Just wondering if that is so good? I'm wondering if the prices of these products are pretty good. TIA

J&J is one of the worst body washes. Their baby wash has formaldehyde (sp?) as well as other harsh chemicals.

The best thing to do is go to: www.cosmeticsdatabase.com. It has a database with information about the safety of tons of products.

We use Blue Lizard sunscreen, but just bought a new product that has even less chemicals (the name escapes me right now). I use California Baby body wash on my infant and Burt's Bees on my toddler.

Nature's gate sunscreen.

we use Dr. B unscented for washing and coconut oil for moisturing. anything else and his eczema flares.

We use Dr Bronners soap (J&J is.. nasty to say the least). We use badger sunblock.

Sunblock - We used California Baby from 0-3 and are now using Say Yes to Carrots.

Shampoo/conditioner - California Baby.

Baby wash - Shea Moisture organic baby wash.

Check out The Honest Company (honest.com) - that have lots of good products - sunscreen, body wash, shampoo, lotion, baby oil, etc. I use their lotion and shampoo/conditioner for myself too! We also use their laundry detergent and hand soap.
