Anyone take a Zpack antibiotic in their first trimester?

My OB called me one in bc I have been fighting off being sick for over a week, but two days ago started feeling HORRIBLE...bad sinus, cough, etc. my nose is raw from blowing it so much.  I started having a low grade fever but took some tylenol.  He promised me the Zpack was safe, as did the pharmacist at HEB and she was also pregnant haha.  I am sure it is fine but so paranoid.  I hate taking anything, but know it will be better for the baby if I am healthy!

 Anyone esle taken Zpack in their first trimester??

I was actually taking the Z-pak when I got pregnant.  So at least we know it doesn't prevent it! I would trust your doctor and pharmacist.  I'm sure you'll be okay!

I have an infection in my tooth that requires a root canal, but we're trying to put it off until 2nd tri if possible. My dentist gave me a Z-pack to buy us some time. It's safe, and it worked (so far).

I'm a physician assistant and write for my patients who are pregnant. I am also starting one today for bronchitis. It's safe to use in pregnancy.

I am taking an antibiotic right now for the next 5 days. I triple checked it with the doctor, the nurse on call and the pharmacist. They all concurred the prescription is safe.
