Cramps

Has anyone else had period like cramps for days and still no period?  This has been happening to me occasionally over this past two months.  Is it possible ovulation?  Or just normal when breastfeeding?

I've read it's common for breast feeding moms to get period cramps but not have a period.  And it's possible to have a period and not ovulate.  I think that's the case with me because I do get cramps and have had a period every month since DD was born (thanks mother nature) but I've yet to catch any signs of ovulating with my test strips.  If you cut out a feeding, like the night time one, or start weaning you'll probably notice these symptoms more as your body gears back up for the ovulation/menstruation cycle.
