Stabbing pain in lower left abdomen

For most of the day i have been getting SHARP stabbing pain in my lower left side.  Should i call the doctor?  Im 8 weeks along and this is my 2nd pregnancy, i dont remember this with the first one.  could it just be gas pain?

I've had this since I was 8 weeks along too and when the doctor pressed down I shot off the table it hurt so bad but everything in the U/S looked fine.  But he doesn't know what the pain is from just possibly growing pains.  It gets worse when I have to have a BM.

I would call the dr just to double check

Some times round ligament pain can make you really sore, but if it's that sharp of a pain, I would call - have you had an ultrasound yet?
