Free Prenatals!

I went to see the Dr today for confirmation test and and intro to the practice. Got tons of info, gonna take a while to sort through! The midwife also  gave me a script for prenatals, I told him I was already taking some OTC but he suggested I try these because they have 1mg (instead of 800 mcg) of Folic acid and the Omega-3 is not fish based. They are huge, and I'm not a good pill swallower, but it wasn't so bad. The awesome part is that he also gave me a coupon (came with the sample pack) for $30 off for the next 9 scripts...they were going to cost me $25 so now they are free for the next 9 mo!! The brand is Nexa Select if anyone wants to ask their Dr about it!

I wasn't going to switch if there was an OOP cost of more than what the OTC was going to cost but since they're free I'll stick with them as long as I can handle them (I don't have a great track record with multi-vitamins)!

    Yay on the free pre-natals! Not positive on this but I have read some information online that non-fish based omega-3 hasn't been proven to be absorbed as well as fish-based.

    Just an FYI to others: there are prenatals and DHA supplements that are FSA eligible on drugstore.com. I ordered a bunch using my FSA card.
