If you've ordered from I.VFMeds.com - ?

I'm considering ordering my meds from I.VFMeds.com, as they seem to have the best prices.  The websites states that the package has to be signed for.  If you work outside of the home and have ordered from them, what did you do?  If you're not home at the time, does the package just go to the post office for pick up?

Also, does the box say the company name on it?  I'm considering having it sent to my office, but would hate for someone else to see the box or have to sign for it and know where it's from.

Re: If you've ordered from I.VFMeds.com - ?

  • I haven't ordered from them specifically but the other two times my pharmacy said a sig was required but they left it on my door step anyway. You can always clarify with the call that you have to be there to sign (may not need to be - they pack those really well), have them direct UPS/FedEx to hold for pick-up, arrange to be home that day (you will know when they are going to arrive) or have delivered where you know someone will be there. My box was stark white with only a "keep cold" and "fragile" sticker on it.

    Let the fun begin, eh?

    Me: 37 DH: 40 TTC since 9/09
    #1 BFP 1/10/11; missed m/c discovered 7w5d
IF Dx: Endo, hetero MTHFR mutation, poor morphology
    #1 IUI: 1/18/12 = BFN
    #1 IVF/ICSI 4/2/12 = 2 x 7-cell and 1 x 5-cell transferred (3dt) = BFP!!
H was born at 41w2d on 12/29/12 - be still my heart!
    #2 IVF/ICSI 1/19/14 = 2 x 8 cells transferred (3dt) = BFP!! EDD 10/09/14
M&W born at 37 weeks on 9/18/14 - I am the momma of 3 boys!!!

  • Depending on what you are ordering... remember that some of your meds need to stay refrigerated and although they do a good job with packaging you should really arrange to be there with delivery.

Because this company is not in the US their vials are different than those that you they teach you how to use at the RE. They are the old fashion glass vials (not the normal rubber/plastic lids)

I have not ordered from this company but I know that many have and have heard okay if not good things. I believe that most companies do say where the package is from.

Thanks for responding.  I hdn't thought about tracking the shipment to know what day it'll arrive.  I could definitely make sure to work from home that day if needed.

I remember someone talking the vials being different and getting some special tool to help open them.  You wouldn't happen to remember anything more specific on this, would you?  Hoping that my local Walgreen's pharmacist could help me figure it out if necessary.

  • Ask for a Saturday delivery. Freedom did these and far easier as some of the meds needed refrigeration.

    Multiple ectopics, 2 failed IVF's
IVF #1: Did not get to ET, embies all failed PGD (major chromosomal defects)
IVF #2: We have 2 chromosomally perfect embies as a result of PGD (Boy/Girl) 1 failed the thaw (Girl) Transferred 1, yet ended as a c/p
Thought it was the end of our TTC Journey 6/20/2012
SHOCK BFP 9/28/2012: IT'S A BOY! and everything is normal !!!!!!

Little A born 38w 2d on 05/23/13 and is a true miracle for this IF Vet!

  • When I did my IVF cycles, I ordered my Menopur from them. I was really happy with their service and their prices.

The ampules are a slight pain. You have to "crack" them open (they are made of glass) and then suck the mixing solution out. MH and I were NOT good at this, we were always breaking ampules (luckily it was one ampule per dose, a dose sometimes been 4 containers of the actual Menopur to mix with), so we always had plenty of mixing solution to work with.

Also, if you end up claiming medical expenses on your taxes at the end of the year, you are not able to claim this, which kinda sucks, because I spent a lot of money there.

    GL!
