Late Term and Child Loss

About to take a big step (pg mentioned)

As you all can see from my siggy, I have a blog.  I started it right after Peyton's birth... I always planned to document any future pregnancies on it as well as the writing I do about how I'm doing emotionally.  I think the time has come for me to start to share this blog with people IRL.  I'm going to send out a link tonight to a select few family/friends.  I'm nervous but also excited... I guess I'm nervous for insensitive comments... or nervous people will have comments about how I'm grieving.  I'm not sending it to everyone I plan to eventually yet because two of my SIL's are due just about any day now... I feel like it's a lot to read when you're about to have a baby.  So I'm sending it out in stages.  I mostly know that nobody in this first group would say anything awful, but it's still unnerving... this blog is very honest and I just hope it's received well.  I hope it just helps people understand where I'm coming from, and helps dispel the idea that "well you're pregnant again, so all's well!"  No real point to this post, just kinda nervous... I feel like I'm about to share a lot of myself...

  • I think that's a great idea! I go back and forth on starting a blog. I think I might do one.

It has been very healing for me, and I think it was best not to share right away because I'm not sure I would have written as much in the beginning if I felt like others were "watching me."

  • I've been keeping a blog since we found out we were pregnant with Gabriel. Since then its turned more into just about that journey instead of about our family life and its actually become quite popular.  I have kept it very open, honest and personal.  I have followers from all over the world - india, australia, south africa, brazil to name a few. I've not yet had any negative comments on my blog.  I think its good that your slowly opening up your blog to see what people think. I believe it would take a cold hearted person to say anything negative in a blog like this. In fact, I've been contacted by quite a few moms who have gone through or are going through a loss who've found my blog, I've have had the opportunity to get to know some wonderful people.  Blogging has a special power all its own :) enjoy and gl!  (when you open it up more, I'd love to follow your journey - if you would let me).
