I'm typing with very sleep eyes so hopefully this post makes sense :-). My husband and I travel for a living and we have to bring DS with us since both mommy and daddy are traveling. The "schedule" thing doesn't really work for us because we are traveling at different times, in different time zones and in and out of hotel rooms. DS loves all the moving around and is always in a great mood. He has been a relatively good sleeper up until about 2 weeks ago. He turned 6 months last week and he is waking up every 1-2 hours at night now. What's difficult for us is that we are not able to stick to any "schedule" which hasn't been a problem because that's all he has ever known. However now it seems like we need to start sleep training and we have no idea which one to try. We are leaning towards CIO or Baby Whisperer but I was hoping to get some some advice from other mommies out there. TIA!!!

Re: Need to start sleep training...but which method?
Since you do so much travelling, I'm not sure that a lot of those sleep training things will work. I read a few books and they all seemed to talk about being in the crib. If you're constantly travelling I think it's going to get confusing for your LO.
I would google and see if there is a book or a method out there about sleep training a child in your situation.
At around 6 months, our LO randomly started waking again at night. We found that it was mostly due to teething. We'd put the pacifier in and he'd go right back to bed. Just a thought.
Good Luck!
I don't think it will be impossible to sleep train with the traveling around, I just think you'll have to be really consistent with the bedtime routine. I also think a lovey would help a lot, if you don't have one.
I recommend the Sleepeasy Solution because it gives suggestions for sleep training while bed-sharing or room-sharing (which you may be doing in hotels).
I do want to say that my son's sleep had a lot of ebbs and flows, and at around 6 months he had a wakeful period too!
Good luck!
