Question on spotting

What kind of spotting should you worry about vs spotting that might be from implantation?     I feel completely exhausted like all the life out of me has been sucked out, I'm spotting but no cramping.   Would you be worried?   Should I wait out the next 2 weeks for my appointment?   I'm sure if I should be anxious about this spotting or not.

Re: Question on spotting

  • From what I understand, dark brown blood is normal.  Also, if you're only bleeding a little like you would at the very beginning or very end of your period it's okay.  You should be concerned if it's bright red blood and you're bleeding a lot.  If you're in doubt, I don't think calling your doctor to ask for reassurance would hurt.

  • Im sorry you arent feeling well! I posted about spotting a few days ago because I've been spotting too for a few days. You should bring up any spotting to your doctor. But if it's light and is mostly brown it's not as concerning as bright red, heavy and accompanied by pain. It could be implantation but also it could be that your cervix is irritated (gets more vascular with pregnancy). In my first pregnancy I spotted for 10 weeks, sometimes bleeding with clots, because I had a subchorionic hemorrhage. My LO was fine. I guess the point is, there are many benign reason for first tri spotting but you still need to get checked. My OB is checking my HCG levels first and then I wil have an u/s to make sure everything looks ok (once I'm far along enough to actually see something). I hope everything is ok and your spotting resolves. Your other symptoms sound pretty normal for early pregnancy.
