So Friday I went in to get the chicken pox vaccine that the RE coordinator said I needed before IUI (since I am not immune).
The Kaiser staff member asked where I was on my cycle -- I said it was about a week and a half. He asked if I was on birth control pills. I said no. He asked if we were using condoms and I said no. So I'm sitting there trying to figure out what any of that has to do with getting the vaccine.
He then says "well, you can't get pregnant for six weeks after you have the vaccine."
I wanted to say to him: "Buddy, you don't know the half of it."
But I held my tongue and said "we're going for IUI *blank stare* so I don't think that will be an issue."
I get the booster shot in one month.
