would you call dr for uti on weekend?

I couldn't sleep last night because of discomfort due to a uti.  I hate to bother the dr on the weekend.  I am doing okay now.  It hurts bad when I pee, but otherwise I'm okay.  Would you call or try to tough it out until Monday?  The dr's answering machine says, "If you have a medical emergency, you may reach your dr at..."  I guess this just doesn't seem like an emergency.  The only other time I've ever called a dr out of hours was when I went into labor with my 1st.

hell yes I would! They're awful and you can't take the OTC stuff

Yes!!!!!!!!!  I had a UTI a few weeks ago and my doctor told me that if the infection gets worse it could cause uterine contractions and you DO NOT want that!!  Either call your OB or go to an urgent care place so you can start some antibiotics.

Absolutely. Or, go to the ER. A UTI left untreated can cause miscarriage or a kidney infection.

co sign. If you haven't called yet. Make it happen now. And, get some real cranberry juice - not that juice cocktail mess. It'll actually help you to naturally kill the UTI. I buy mine at the organic food store or Whole Foods. Real cranberry juice is very expensive and it tastes awful BUT a few sips a day keeps the UTI away.
