I just got a call from one of the 4 different pharmacies that has gotten my perscriptions saying that they can't process anything at this point b/c the doctors office never got them authorized. Then he told me I may not get them by the time I need them next week to start stims b/c of this. Awesome. I guess there is a chance my first IVF cycle will be cancled before it even begins. this is so discouraging.

Sorry things seem so frustrating for you right now with your meds and doctors office. 

I get worried too sometimes.  I really like my RE but my IVF nurse seems a bit of a ding-dong at times and has changed my meds list 3 times in the past month.

That happened to me both times too! Ugh, so frustrating! I had to call my dr and have them call the pharmacy that day (I get an ext # and person's name). I hope everything works out for you and this doesn't cause you to get xld. Mine always comes overnight - fx you get this all sorted out soon.

Hopefully it gets straightened out soon!  In the meantime, maybe ask you dr. If they have any samples or donated meds available to get you started in the case that there is a delay with the pharmacy?

That would be so frustrating.  My Clinic has their own pharmacy so I just get them all on the spot.  I actually could have saved a lot of money if I waited and got them later because I wasn't on my work insurance plan yet but I was too scared to wait to get them.

I just went through this all last week so I feel your pain.  I was on the phone with 2 different pharmacies.  One said I needed a stim sheet to do the pre-authorization.  My nurse spent an hour on the phone with the pharmacy to explain that my company did not require pre-authorization.  They finally said oh ok and got my meds UPS'ed to me Saturday (the day I was supposed to start stims!).  Talk about stressful.  My nurse did give me some samples just in case my delivery didn't show up.  The pharmacies can overnight them so just keep calling them (I was on the phone every day last week to get status updates).  Good luck and I hope you get your meds.

I freaked out for my first IVF because I realized the day before my trigger that they didn't send it with the other meds...so I feel your pain.

But, I called my nurse and she worked it out with the pharmacy, told them it was urgent.  Can you call and ask your nurse to help out?  Also, like PP suggested, see if your RE has samples.

Easier said than done (and not like I should talk!) but try to relax - you still have time. I'm sure it will all work out.  I'm hopeful for you!

thanks. I have left messages and emails for both my coordinators. I still haven't heard back. I will definitley ask if they have samples. Thanks ladies!

Grrr-that is so annoying!  FX that they get their s**t together and are able to get your meds to them in time. 

When I ordered mine, my doctor put the order in on Tuesday, they called me to confirm and get payment on Wed and I had my meds by Thursday.

I'm so sorry you're having to deal with this.  This whole process is complicated and frustrating enough without glitches like this adding to the mix.  Hope it's straightened out soon!
